Exchanges & Returns

Fernbaugh’s Jewelry strives to satisfy our customers. Unless otherwise specified below, your purchase may be refunded within 10 days from the original purchase date by the original client when accompanied with the sales slip. Exchange or credit is permitted within 30 days of purchase. The item must be unused and unworn, and in original condition, and in the original gift box with all warranty cards and explanation booklets intact. Closeout items, special orders, completed layaways, modified and/or custom pieces are not returnable or exchangeable. Gift recipients will be issued a merchandise credit only. Gift certificates are not redeemable for cash.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Special Orders

We regret that special orders are not returnable: and that no refund or exchange can be made. All special orders require a 50% non refundable deposit. A special order constitutes any jewelry, gemstone, watch, or gift item ordered or altered at the client’s request.

Custom Work

Custom designed jewelry involves metals, gems, and labor furnished by Fernbaugh’s Jewelry for a special client. As such, all custom jewelry is nonrefundable, and requires a 50% non refundable deposit before work begins. Every effort will be made by Fernbaugh’s Jewelry to accurately manufacture or produce the item(s) so ordered. Full payment upon receipt of custom work will denote the client’s complete satisfaction. Minor adjustments, such as ring sizing or texturing will gladly be made by Fernbaugh’s Jewelry to accommodate the wearer at either a modest fee or at no charge depending on the extent of the work involved.

Damages and issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

Refund Payment Method

Credit card sales will be credited only to the original card charged. Cash sales will be paid by company check within five business days. Check sales will be paid by company check fourteen days from the deposit date.


We are not responsible for altered gemstones left for repair, custom design or appraisal. This includes, but is not limited to, diamonds or false stamping on metal goods which may be mismarked. In regard to watch repair, rust and/or abuse will void any warranty. We will not be responsible for any article left for more than 60 days. A $30.00 fee will be charged for any returned checks due to insufficient funds. We are not responsible for any damage to clarity enhanced, synthetic or heat sensitive gemstones or stones with a hardness of less than 9. Fernbaugh’s Jewelry requires a 50% deposit on all repair work, and payment in full when the work is completed. Your repair work will be held for you until the 50% payment can be made, and will be put into the work process at that time.

Complimentary Services

Upon the purchase of a new ring, Fernbaugh's will size the ring up or down 2 sizes one time at no charge. The ring must be brought in for resizing within 6 months of purchase.

We recommend all our customers bring their pieces in for a free clean & check to ensure that their jewelry is in good condition and to catch potential issue before they arise. We suggest you have your jewelry cleaned & checked once every 4 to 6 months.

Optional Additional Coverage

We also encourage customers to take advantage of our optional Care Plan. For a one time fee, your jewelry item will be covered from top to bottom and any repair work is free of charge. Repair work includes, but is not limited to, services like ring sizing, stone replacement, etc. The price of the care plan varies and a care plan can be added to any piece in the store. The customer will receive the same dollar amount in repair coverage as the the retail price of their piece. We still recommend you bring your pieces in periodically for clean & check but it is not required that you do so in order to keep the care plan. Total loss or theft of the piece is not covered by the care plan.
